Katanning Netball Association held a midweek round last week, with closely fought games in all divisions plus strong performances from two teams at the Fuel To Go & Play Netball Association Championships.

A1 games had everyone sitting on the edge of their seats, highlighted by Cardinals Force taking on Olympians 1.

In a strongly contested game, Olympians 1 pumped a few extra goals to secure a 43-33 win.

Broomehill battled it out with Te Taitonga 1 but the latter applied plenty of pressure to record a close 54-49 win at the final whistle.

Allstars 1 and Kojonup 1 proved to be the game of the round but Allstars 1 were flawless in their shooting which set up a 58-43 victory.

A2 had two epic games on show with Allstars 2 going head to head with Kojonup 2.

Neither team could dominate and the game went to the wire but Allstars pinched a thrilling win, 38-37.

Te Taitonga 2 and Dumbleyung 2 continued the close round, as both teams went goal for goal but Dumbleyung managed to get over the line 38-37.

In the A3 competition Cardinals Phoenix and Cardinals Fever played out a derby, and in a big turn of events for Cardinals Phoenix claimed a 40-37 triumph.

KNA took two teams to association championships, which was held over the WA Day long weekend.

Teams came from all over the State plus more than a dozen invitational teams from Singapore.

KNA had a 13-and-under and a 14-and-under team, and a lot of the girls had already gelled and played together for many years. It showed on the courts how well they can adapt to different styles of netball.
