Katanning Show gets a shot in the arm with a WA Health clinic set to provide walk-in Pfizer vaccinations
Showgoers will be able to roll up their sleeves to get a shot of the Pfizer COVID-19 at Saturday’s Katanning Agricultural Show.
The Ram Pavilion will host a WA Health walk-in vaccination clinic from 8:30am to 6pm on Saturday.
The WA Health Department has enlisted local GPs from St Luke’s Family Practice to help with the vaccinations on the day.
Katanning police Senior Sergeant Carlos Correia said the clinic was a great opportunity for all members of the community to do their part in the fight against COVID-19.
“It’s important that all community get to understand the benefits of being vaccinated and be given adequate information so they can go in and get it done,” he said.
The clinic comes as part of the State Government’s mass COVID-19 vaccination clinic rollout in regional WA, with another clinic planned in Tambellup for today. “It’s been great to see country communities rolling up to protect regional WA against COVID-19,” Premier Mark McGowan said last week.
“More than 70 per cent of Western Australians aged 12 and older have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.”
