Police investigate Bluff Point school break-in after $15,000 John Deere Gator and angle grinder stolen

Geraldton police are investigating a burglary at a Bluff Point school after thieves broke into the property and stole a ride-on John Deere vehicle and an angle grinder. Police say the incident happened some time between 2pm on Saturday, October 25 and 8am on Monday, October 27. Offenders are believed to have entered the school grounds by climbing over the perimeter fence before targeting a central shed. Using an unknown tool, they forced open a roller shutter door and stole a John Deere ride-on Gator, valued at about $15,000, along with an angle grinder. The thieves then made their escape by cutting through a wire fence on Greenfields Drive, fleeing in an unknown direction. Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the Bluff Point area over the weekend or who has information about the stolen items to contact Geraldton police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
