Geraldton police appeal for public’s help in Wandina hit-and-run crash investigation that injured man in 30s

Geraldton police have issued a public appeal as they investigate a hit-and-run incident in Wandina last weekend, which left a man in his 30s seriously injured. Police say the incident occurred on Sunday, September 7 between 10pm and 11pm, and have urged residents along Barrett Drive to review their CCTV footage from that period for any relevant activity. The victim, a man in his 30s, sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries. Police are also urgently trying to identify and speak with two people — believed to be a male and female — who helped the victim at the scene. “These individuals could be key witnesses and may have vital information,” police say. The vehicle of interest is believed to be an older model Toyota Hilux, which police say is likely missing its right-hand side wing mirror as a result of the collision.
