Two people trapped in a car had to be rescued after it smashed into a home in Woodvale on Friday night.

The 27-year-old male driver and 20-year-old male passenger had to be cut out of the Hyundai Accent by a fire crew. Once freed, they were taken to Royal Perth Hospital as a precaution.

Before slamming into the Trailwood Drive residence, the car had rolled, damaging a garden and fence.
