A popular cafe has been forced to close after a fire erupted in the kitchen on Wednesday morning.
Firefighters responded to a fire at the Satchmo cafe in North Perth at 10.18am and contained the blaze by around 10.30am.

A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said the fire was caused by a deep fryer.
DFES confirmed that staff and customers safely evacuated before the fire spread.

Residents and visitors near the intersection of Fitzgerald and Forrest Streets are being urged to stay inside.

It said there was no direct threat to lives or homes, but people in the area should remain indoors and out of the smoke and fumes, keeping doors and windows closed and switching off air-conditioners as a precaution.
One lane between Fitzgerald Street between Angove and Vincent streets has been closed, with motorists urged to avoid the area, reduce speed and drive carefully.
Residents are also being told to follow the directions of emergency services personnel.
People with medical conditions are advised to contact their local doctor or call 1800 MEDICARE (1800 633 422).
