An uncontrolled bush fire is raging in Broome, burning on either side of Great Northern Highway with as much as 75,000 hectares already ravaged.
The fire was first reported in the early hours of Wednesday morning in Roebuck, just south of Broome, and it has remained blazing since.
Firefighters, local rangers and pastoralists are all are currently on the scene, as the flames continue to move in an easterly and south-easterly direction.
Motorists have been advised to drive with caution along Great Northern Highway as smoke is covering the roads.
The Barn Hill Station Access road has been reopened.
A further bushfire advice is in place for those in the vicinity of Barn Hill Caravan Park, Barn Hill Station, Eco Beach Wilderness Retreat and Shamrock Gardens in the suburbs of Roebuck and Lagrange near Broome.
The Department of Fire and Emergency services says there is no current threat to lives or homes.
Residents nearby are urged to monitor their surroundings and ensure they have a bush fire plan.
