A ten-year-old boy has been charged after a police pursuit in Bunbury last week.

Police say they attempted to stop a Toyota Landcruiser driving north on Parade Road in Withers at about 10pm, when it sped off down the road.

The vehicle, which police say had been stolen earlier that night, was stopped a short time later.

The boy has been charged with a number of offences including no authority to drive, steal motor vehicle and drive recklessly and reckless driving to escape pursuit by police.

He will face Bunbury Children’s Court today.
