Joshua Standring: Mandurah man found dead after alleged serious assault identified

Homicide detectives were questioning two people over the death of a man in Perth’s southern suburbs on Monday — more than 24 hours after a body was located by emergency services seriously injured. Joshua Standring, 41, was located inside a property on Renison Drive in Greenfields around 1.45am on Sunday after reports of an assault. Mr Standring, who is reported to be Mandurah local, died from his injuries at the scene despite police and St John WA paramedics attempting to save him. WA Police were investigating whether the incident was linked to a home invasion, according to 9NEWS. On Monday afternoon, a police spokeswoman confirmed two people were assisting police with their investigation. No charges were laid at the time of publication. “There is no ongoing threat to the public,” the police spokeswoman said.
