Police say a Ford Ranger utility with the registration “pighuntr” was rammed into a garage door of a Cardup home, before the men shot their way inside just before 6.30pm on Monday.

More shots were then fired at a victim, a man aged in his 20s, but did not pierce his skin.

He was then beaten up, causing serious facial injuries, police say.

The attack is allegedly linked to four other incidents, including a Roleystone assault at 4.45pm, earlier that night, an attempted burglary in Byford at 5.30pm, an assault nearby just 10 minutes later, and a disturbance at a hospital around 7.50pm.

Ammunition was seized during a police search of a home on Morrison Road in West Pingelly.

Mr Casbolt has been charged with threatening to kill, possessing unlicensed firearm, discharging a firearm, aggravated home burglary and aggravated armed robbery.

He is due to appear before the Armadale Magistrates Court today.
