A man who had distinctive ears with no lobes, whose body was discovered in Sydney's inner suburbs in April, remains unidentified.

An image of the man has been released after his body was discovered in Hunt Street in Surry Hills just before midnight on April 17.

Police say the man's death was not suspicious but have been unable to identify him or notify his next of kin.

The man was of Asian or South American appearance, in his 20s or early 30s, 170cm tall, with a slim build.

He was wearing a light-blue shirt and black trousers but wasn't carrying any identification or a mobile phone.
