Two people have been found dead at a home in Perth’s southern suburbs overnight, sparking a major police investigation. Police have confirmed they were called to a home on Sunningdale Circle in Cooloongup, near Rockingham, about 7.20pm on Sunday night. “On arrival police located two people deceased,” a police spokesperson said. Homicide squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths of the two people. Forensic officers remain at the scene on Monday morning. They are still investigating the suburban home and gathering any possible evidence. More than half a dozen forensic officers are at the crime scene on Monday, where they have masked up and gone inside the home to search for evidence in the wake of the tragedy. Those officers have liaised with detectives on the ground throughout the morning. One homicide officer put a mask on and entered the home, before exiting a short time later. Officers have focused much of their attention on the backyard, using a side gate to enter and exit the property. Police have also carried out several brown paper bags from the property. More to come.
