CCTV of man WA Police want to speak to amid investigation into sex assault of teen in Perth CBD

Child abuse squad detectives are searching for a man as they investigate the sexual assault of a teenager in the Perth CBD.

A 49-year-old man allegedly linked to the assault from July is facing nine child sex offences, with police working to locate a second man.

“It is believed the person pictured was in the Perth CBD, near the intersection of Pier and Edward Streets, between 1pm and 6pm on Friday, 18 July 2025,” a police spokeswoman said.

“The person may have information to assist with the investigation into the sexual assault of a female teenager.”

Detectives charged have already charged the 49-year-old man from Bennet Springs with nine offences, including four counts of sexual penetration of a child over 13 and under 16.

He has also been charged with one count of attempted sexual penetration and four counts of indecent dealing with a child.
