Rockingham detectives have charged a driver over a road rage incident in Baldivis last month which resulted in the man being run over by a truck.

The incident involving the driver of a Subaru Liberty and a dual trailer Volvo truck happened at about 2am on the Kwinana Freeway near the intersection of Safety Bay Road on June 29.

Police will allege the driver of the Liberty got out of his vehicle and climbed onto the side of the truck. He slipped and had his legs run over by the truck.

He was taken by St John Ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital for leg fractures.
