Dunsborough School of Ballet will next month see its talented students perform a long-awaited rendition of The Nutcracker at Happs Winery.

After three months of hard work the dancers will showcase their elegant portrayal of the Christmas classic, and people from all over the South West are invited to join them on the adventure.

DSB director Caroline Jenson said she was looking forward to the “unique outdoor performance”.

“We’re very busy at the moment with finalising everything and we have our in-studio rehearsal coming up on Tuesday, which will be a good practice run,” Ms Jenson said.

“Enabling students from different ages to perform in a full-length ballet means that they all pull together (and) learn from one another.”

The DSB have performed numerous Christmas concerts at Happs Winery over the past five years, and this celebration will be no different.

“It’s amazing to see the development of the dancers through the whole experience,” Ms Jenson said.

Past concerts performed by students between six years old and 18 have included Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan, and this year will be Ms Jenson’s fifth time organising the performance.

The Nutcracker will be performed on December 12.
