Millions of Australians are expected to buy tickets in next week’s Powerball draw after the jackpot rose to a massive $100m.

No-one had the winning numbers of 6 18 32 3 1 18 12 and Powerball of 4 for Thursday night’s draw 1460 with the top prize of $60m.

But seven entries took home $142,219.05 each in the second division.

Next Thursday’s Powerball will have $100m up for grabs.

Up to one in six Australians had been predicted to enter Thursday’s draw in the hope of winning the fourth-biggest jackpot offered by any lottery game in the country so far this year.

Those who are keen to try their luck may be interested to know that the most frequently drawn numbers from the main barrel are 17, 7, 3, 9, 2 and 11.

Meanwhile, the least frequently drawn numbers from the main barrel are 33, 15, 31, 26, 8 and 1.

The most frequently drawn numbers from the separate Powerball barrel are 2, 19, 4, 3, 6 and 10.

Surprisingly next week’s Powerball jackpot won’t be the biggest lottery jackpot of the year.

In February, $200m was up for grabs in Powerball

“Australia’s biggest lottery winners of 2024 to date are the Hawthorne woman and Singleton couple who both took home $100m in February’s historic $200 million Powerball draw,” The Lott spokesman Matt Hart said.

This year, six lucky Powerball division one winning entries have collectively taken home more than $270m, with three wins each in Queensland and NSW.
