Police are appealing for information after a newborn puppy was found abandoned in the State’s South West.

The tiny pooch was located by police in Carey Park, in Bunbury, on Friday afternoon.

It is believed to be from the Bunbury or Busselton area.

“The puppy has been taken to the vet for urgent care, while police try to locate the owners,” a police spokesperson said.
