As one truck slows to a stop, another slams into the back of it, sending a trailer shooting into the air.

Luckily, the momentum carries the trucks straight down the highway, between the police car and private vehicle.

The crash closed Albany Highway in both directions.

“Police, farmers and shire workers narrowly avoided disaster today as two trucks collided on the Albany Highway near Williams,” Williams Police said.

“Smoke across the road caused poor visibility contributing to the collision.

"Please drive to the conditions and prepare to stop.

“Luckily on this occasion there were no serious injuries.”
