Albany galloper Dark Assault will chase the first black type victory of his career in the listed WAROA Belmont Guineas (1600m) on Saturday.

The Roy Rogers-trained galloper is the top weight in three-year-old feature race at Belmont Park.

Dark Assault has the services of champion jockey William Pike and will jump from barrier 11 with 58.5kg on his back in the field of 12.

The gelding has been in winning form this preparation with three victories since breaking maiden status in February.
