A total of nine Albany Soapbox Club competitors took part in the Ross Burton Perth Championships on Sunday and produced strong results.

In the top 12 shootout, seven of the nine drivers were eliminated leaving only brother and sister duo Tayissa and Blake Condren to represent Albany in the top four.

Tayissa and Blake finished a respectable fourth place in the senior and junior division respectively, with Blake being the youngest in the top four at the age of nine.

Tayissa had a load of fun and carnage on the final corner, blowing an extraordinary nine tyres throughout the day and having several crashes but she was able to set the fastest time of the day with 43.34sec.
