Thrillseekers will pay $59 to zoom 100km/h from the Matagarup Bridge zip-line, across the Swan River, when it opens this summer.

The cost will include photos of the experience, and those interested can register now. The 314-step bridge climb will also have similar prices.

A virtual-reality experience is under development, which will be open to all ages.

WA company Perth Bridge Climb and Zip will operate the adventure activities.

The zip-line cables were installed this week by local company Byte Construct, with the “sky view” and zip-line platforms still being built.

Transport Minister Rita Saffioti said the project was on track to launch this summer.

“People will get a unique bird’s-eye view from the iconic structure as they zip along,” she said. “This is an exciting new attraction for Perth.”
