Santalum

Cottesloe-based skin queens Heartwood have launched their first face cream in this luscious, barrier-restoring moisturiser, Santalum. Known for its Indian sandalwood-rich products, the cream is designed to hydrate the skin with added ingredients including niacinamide, squalane, hyaluronic acid and some plant oils. Santalum is $166 for 100ml and can be purchased in store or online.

Django’s Small Bar

If you’re a cocktail aficionado, check out this little bar in Bedford. Named for the five-year-old rottweiler of its owners, it specialises in clarified cocktails — a process that can take up to three days. This clarified margarita comes with tequila, grapefruit, lime, clarified double cream and milk, with a chilli and lime salt rim. They also have an evolving share-plate menu, including a popular gnocco fritto (deep-fried dough, stracciatella, prosciutto, rocket, cherry tomatoes). See djangos.com.au.

Nisi Collective

In exciting news, local label Nisi Collective has launched a new collection of eight gorgeous pieces — including a yellow shirt we’ve had our eye on for months. The capsule ranges from $98 to $180 and was designed here in Western Australia by Amelia Eftos. “This surfwear and resort wear is inspired by mid-century design, sunrise to sunset, versatility and comfort,” says Eftos. Fremantle International Street Arts Festival

If you’re looking for an intriguing, magical day out over the Easter long weekend, head down to Freo, where this free festival will be taking over the streets and parks. Get a quirky makeover from Barcelona’s Osadia, as featured in last weekend’s STM, and marvel at circus acts, musical performers, acrobats, comedians, mermaids and more, then head for a drink or something to eat at the port city’s many hotspots. FISAF runs from Friday April 3 to Monday April 6, with activities starting at 10am or 12pm depending on the day. See streetartsfestival.com.au for the full program.

Juicepop Box Lip Tint

“Is there anything Laneige can’t do?” That’s the question on STM fashion and beauty writer Megan French’s perfectly tinted lips, after trialling the brand’s latest product. The formula is moisturising, long-lasting and affordable ($30 from Sephora) and comes in eight shades. Unlike many other lip stains French has tested, this option doesn’t leave your lips looking like the Sahara Desert and is a solid addition to any lip product roster. Another home-run from the Korean beauty brand.

Titanic: The Human Story

This popular exhibition has had more than 80,000 visitors through its doors at the Northbridge Centre but if you are not one of them, good news: the demand means it is staying in Perth until June. Featuring more than 200 artefacts, personal belongings and rarely seen objects from the doomed ship, the display combines meticulous research and immersive storytelling to tell the tale of the people aboard. The organisers are also asking any West Australians with a connection to Titanic, from descendants of those involved to collectors of memorabilia to come forward. You can share your story by emailing stories@titanicexhibition.com.au and see titanicexhibition.com.au/perth for more information on the exhibition.
