WA Ballet West Australian Ballet’s season under the stars at Quarry Amphitheatre in City Beach has long been a must-see experience each year, and in 2026 it’s bringing four world premieres to the stage. The program is titled Incandescence, and unites WA artists and internationally celebrated choreographers, including Tim Harbour who returns to WA for the first time since 2009. Swapping sirens for spotlights, Hill is presenting a showcase in the city of love of a new collection inspired by the colours, textures and contrasts of Western Australia’s coastline. “For a long time, I lived in two very different worlds, responding to emergencies by day and quietly creating jewellery at night. (It’s) emotionally demanding work (but) creating jewellery became my way of restoring balance — a quiet, grounding practice after intense days,” Hill tells STM.
