VideoAustralia's favourite cattle dogs announce live shows.

Bluey and her family are set to thrill tiny fans and families alike when the live stage show tours around Australia once again.

The theatrical adaptation of the Emmy award-winning TV show sees the lovable Bluey, her sister Bingo, mum Chilli and dad Bandit brought to life as giant puppets as they embark on an adventure.

When Bandit feels like a little bit of afternoon time out, Bluey and Bingo have other plans, and the audience is encouraged to join them as they pull out all of the games and cleverness at their disposal to get dad off his bean bag.

Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show will start in Melbourne on December 30 before moving on to Canberra, Sydney, Wollongong, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin, Gold Coast and several regional towns along the way.

The blue and red heelers’ first stop on the WA leg is Albany on February 13 and February 14, before heading up to Perth’s Regal Theatre on February 18 for 12 shows.

Mandurah and Bunbury fans will also have a chance to see the show during the first week of March.

Since premiering in Australia in 2020, Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show has toured globally across the UK, Ireland, Canada, the US, Europe, Singapore, South Africa and the UAE.

Scott Modra, director of brands and licensing at BBC Studios ANZ, said after an “incredible journey” touring around the world, “we’re beyond excited to bring Bluey’s Big Play home to Australian audiences”.

“The love for Bluey continues to grow, and we can’t wait for families around the country to experience the joy, laughter and heart of this special live show – right here on home soil.”

The show features original voices from the TV sensation, including the recognisable voices of Melanie Zanetti as Chilli and David McCormack as Bandit.

The larger-than-life puppets will be commanded by a talented cast, yet to be announced.

It is directed by Rosemary Myers of Windmill Theatre Company, and presented by BBC Studios and Andrew Kay in association with Windmill Theatre Co.
