The nominees for the 66th TV Week Logie Awards have been revealed, including the names of the seven Aussie celebs up for the coveted Gold Logie award.

This year, nominees for the top gong include journalist Ally Langdon, comedian Julia Morris, ABC favourite Lisa Millar, Masterchef judge Poh Ling Yeow, presenter Robert Irwin, last year’s Logies host Sam Pang and sports-star-turned-game show host Todd Woodbridge.

Irwin, who has been nominated for Gold alongside his former I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! co-host Julia Morris, will host the awards, which will be broadcast live from Sydney on Seven on Sunday, August 16.

Leading the tally board for nominees is the ABC, who are the the most nominated network with 41 nominations across almost every category, including a Gold Logie nod for Muster Dogs host Lisa Millar.

Prime Video is the most nominated streamer, picking up 11 nominations, including for Aussie superstar Jacob Elordi for his role in harrowing drama, The Narrow Road To The Deep North.

TV Week Editorial Director Amber Giles said this year’s crop of nominees are a worthy bunch from a stacked cast of Australian on-screen talent.

“This year’s nominations are a genuine celebration of how extraordinary Australian television has become,” she said.

“From free-to-air favourites to the streaming shows everyone has been talking about, the breadth and quality of original Australian storytelling on our screens right now is something to be proud of.

“These are your awards, so if a show or a star has moved you, made you laugh or kept you up past your bedtime, make your voice heard and vote!”

This year, The Logies announced a new category, named for Seven’s long-running sports presenter, Bruce McAvaney.

McAvaney has been the voice of Australian sports for decades, calling AFL, tennis, horse racing, rugby union, swimming, the Commonwealth Games and the Olympics Games at the highest level.

The Bruce McAvaney Award for Most Popular Sports Presenter has been named in his honour in a tip of the cap to the legendary caller.

To no one’s surprise, the TV Week Logies Hall of Famer has been nominated for his own award, pitted against the likes of Seven’s Ricky Ponting.

Voting opens at 7am and will remain open until 7pm Saturday, August 15.
