Pop prince Troye Sivan has been named GQ Man of the Year for 2023 in Sydney.

Less than a month after scoring his first ever Grammy nominations and bagging four trophies at the ARIA Awards including Song of the Year for his comeback track and video Rush, Sivan has received another massive honour.

The 28-year-old was presented the award by American actor Ross Lynch who appeared in Sivan’s music video One of Your Girls, the third single from his third studio album Something to Give Each Other.

Sivan pulled off a crisp, all-white Prada set and showed his appreciation in a moving acceptance speech.

“Thank you so much everyone. It’s not lost on me the irony of me winning Man of the Year when I did drag for the first time this year,” he said.

“I feel more in touch with my femininity than ever. I think it speaks to a point I’d like to make, which is that my relationship with masculinity has been strange my entire life.”

The pop star added that after winning the prestigious Man of the Year Award he would make a point to stand up for the women and LGBTQ+ people in his life.

He attended the ceremony with his two brothers, Tyde and Steele.
