Remember just last night when Colby told everyone not to worry about the murder that all off his friends are accessories to? Well, it was short lived because he’s already freaking out.

Home and Away diehards were in for an absolute treat with three episodes and the return of Angelo Rosetta to Summer Bay.

Now I appreciate a hot bod when one presents itself just as much as the next person but 10 years and a suit has done wonders for Luke Jacobz.

Angelo was a cop but gave that up to start a pizza shop of all things and the River Boys eventually forced him out of the bay.

And just in case anyone was unsure why Angelo is back, his script is pretty much limited to “I’m investigating the murder of Ross Nixon”.

Angelo flashes his badge. He’s important now so those River Boys won’t be running him out of town this time.

Colby is already feeling the heat and knocks back a massive stiff drink…in the morning? Time is very ambiguous on this show.

Angelo has already done his homework and he called Colby and Dean into the station for a formal interview. But first Colby has to summon Dean back from his surfing trip, which he has apparently already set off on.

This one is going to be a slow burn for sure. Dean is already on the verge of cracking — plus he’s lying to his girlfriend Ziggy which will eat at him — and Colby’s state is going to get worse and Bella is prone to panic attacks and that letter she wrote for Irene a few weeks back will probably play into this.

Also “streuth” dead Ross’ face is also on the front cover of the local newspaper.

Jasmine also makes an appearance after a few episodes off-screen.

But she just can’t catch a break and the script writers deliver another doozy for the emotionally unstable character and schedule her first counselling session for the first anniversary of her wedding to dead Robbo.

At first its apparent Jasmine is just going to counselling to satisfy Tori and get straight back to obsessing over Grace, but by the end Jaz gives Tori the scrapbook. I’m completely convinced Jas is going to accept the help she so desperately needs.

Jasmine tells the councillor about the good old times she shared with Robbo when they were looking after Grace full time.

The whole time I’m waiting for a but…I’m still waiting...

Jasmine makes it clear she’s going to do whatever it takes to get Grace back in her clutches which thrills Tori.

Tori rewards Jas with an afternoon with herself and baby Gracie which has Justin feeling pretty sceptical.

The love rhombus is becoming less jaunty with Tane possibly taking himself out of the running for Mac after getting a stern talking to from Nikau.

Ari takes a page from Nikau’s romantic date book and presents Mac with what appears to be a romantic boat picnic.

It’s actually fishing, but Mac likes fishing and catches a really really big fish which apparently is the way to a man’s heart.

Mac surprises Ari with an equally romantic dinner at Salt and they actually seem really happy.

Next up is poor Marilyn who again is going on about being a “burden” and has a cry on a bench.

She’s been crying quite a lot in public which seems quite high risk given Summer Bay is not only the most dangerous place in the world, but also filled with nosy yet concerned people.

We get it, she’s “going up a bit of a dry gully” (courtesy of Alf of course and I might have to implement this slogan into my repertoire) at the moment but some variety would be very much appreciated.

Well hope has arrived because Alf tells Maz he thinks of her as a daughter and she stops sobbing and comes home with him.

Ryder and Roo are back from Evan’s funeral which actually sounded fun. There was a band.

Ryder and Nikau start a club – the dead dad club. It “sucks” but they’ve got each other.

Justin suddenly gets a headache. It seems significant but Leah thinks he’s old and has been staring at the computer for too long.

Then we come to John who is keeping busy by “snooping” on his neighbours and bossing everyone around - so he’s clearly getting better.

He gives Alf grief over paperwork which hasn’t been kept up to his incredibly high standards.

Justin’s headache is mentioned for the third time…it’s definitely a thing.
